What is The Beach Club at Bimini?

The Beach Club at Bimini is a 4.5-acre private resort located on the island of Bimini in The Bahamas. Situated within the Resorts World Bimini complex, the private beach club is used exclusively by Virgin Voyages when docked on the island. On these occasions, all guests of Virgin Voyages have free access to this paradise.

On days when Virgin Voyages are not docked in Bimini, those spending the night at the Hilton at Resorts World Bimini can enjoy free access to the beach club, while non-Hilton visitors may inquire about day pass prices at the front desk. More info

Getting to the beach club from the ship

The Beach Club at Bimini is located a 20-minute walk from the cruise dock. Virgin Voyages offers free tram shuttles every few minutes, which run between the dock and the Beach Club, with an additional stop on route at the shore excursion meeting point.

What is at the Beach Club at Bimini?

The Virgin Voyages Bimini Beach Club has a range of amenities and activities to make your day as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. These include a large pool, plenty of seating areas, hammocks for relaxing in the sun, and beach cabanas for lounging in the shade.

Pools, Beach, and Terrace area

At the entrance to the Beach Club, be sure to check out the terrace area. It's a comfortable and shady spot with multiple types of seating and an on-site bar. You'll also find RockStar agents and cabana check-in here as well.

At the heart of Beach Club lies an immense lagoon-style swimming pool, surrounded by lounge chairs and umbrellas - all complimentary!

On the beach side of the Beach Club, you'll relax in the sand and sun on one of the complimentary lounge chairs provided. The white sand beach is picture-perfect with glimmering blue waters - no water shoes needed! Rockstar Suite guests have access to a separate private section of the beach.

Bars

With six bars to choose from, you can relax and enjoy your drink of choice with plenty of cosy seating nearby. But that's not all; chic lounge areas offer plush booths, shady hammocks, and even hanging wicker swing chairs suspended over the pool bar!

Soft drinks including fountain soda and water are included. You can grab these at one of the two drinks stations.

Alcoholic Drinks are an extra cost. Don’t worry about carrying cash or credit cards – you can use your room key band to conveniently pay for them!

Food and Dining

Two food stations serve complimentary lunchtime bites, which include a mix of barbecue options, tropical salads, curries, and fruits. The food is delicious, but if you are a picky eater, you may find the menu restrictive.

Cabanas

Cabanas are available to hire. There are three types of cabanas available: Bimini Beach, Bimini Grove, and Bimini Lagoon. Beachfront cabanas are right in front of the Bahamian Sea; Grove cabanas overlook the hammock groves of The Beach Club and the Caribbean Sea; Lagoon cabanas are located near the Lagoon pool.

If you're looking for more privacy, you can rent a cabana. The Beach Club at Bimini offers three types of cabanas: Bimini Beach, Bimini Grove, and Bimini Lagoon. Enjoy breath-taking views of the Bahamian Sea from a Bimini Beach cabana; gaze out over majestic hammock groves and Caribbean Sea vistas in a Grove Cabana; or relax in style near the centre of The Lagoon pool with a Bimini Lagoon cabana!

The cabanas are of the smaller size and come equipped with all of the necessary amenities, such as comfy day beds, drink coolers, and a free round of drinks up to $100. They're currently priced at $350 per day and can accommodate up to 4 people. Don't forget, the price is per cabana! That's a great way to share with your friends. Plus, gratuities are included.

Richard's Retreat

Richard's Retreat is a private sanctuary exclusively open to guests of the RockStar Suites. These sailors can enjoy a terrace area with comfortable loungers, a bar with a dedicated DJ, and a private beach. Guests don't even have to leave if they want something to eat; they can order food for delivery to Richard's Retreat. The food options are the same as those in the standard dining venues; however, the dining area is more shaded and tranquil.

Richard's Retreat offers the option to hire a Cabana for extra comfort and privacy. Guests staying in a RockStar Suite get first dibs on these; however, when not all Cabanas have been reserved, they are offered on a first-come-first-served basis for everyone else. The amenities and prices are the same as other Cabanas in the Beach Club.

Activities, Parties, and Evening Bonfires

During the day, The Beach Club comes alive with countless activities and parties. At the start of each morning, enjoy a yoga session and soothing music that sets just the right tone for relaxation. As time passes by the energetic beach vibes grow more lively! Activities include beach volleyball, underwater music by DJs in the pool, special parties, and events like mermaid appearances or fire-spinning performances.

For select sailings, the ship remains in port late into the evening to experience a Fire & Sunset Soirees celebration. The event includes music spun by DJs and a nightly bonfire "fireball ritual".

Additional Excursions

For those who would rather explore than relax, Bimini offers a variety of “Shore Things” excursions to choose from. These can be booked in advance on the Virgin Voyages website, on the app, or at the “Shore Things” desk on the ship. Excursions include shark snorkelling, a dolphin safari, a mid-afternoon cruise, a historical tour of the island, and scuba diving.

Don't fret though, you can always take it easy and relax poolside or on the gorgeous beach all day for free.

Does The Beach Club at Bimini provide access for people with disabilities?
