Norwegian Getaway Staterooms

Watch our video review of the Norwegian Getaway staterooms. A full video tour of a mini-suite balcony stateroom, inside cabin and solo cabin on board the Norwegian Getaway cruise ship. If you are sailing on the Norwegian Breakaway, the cabins are almost identical.

Inside Cabin

Norwegian Getaway Inside StateroomWe were really surprised how spacious these cabins are. The beds can form two singles or a double. The cabins are well appointed with plenty of floor space and storage. We really like the decor of these cabins. It was really warm and welcoming. Below the vanity unit, you can find the mini-bar and above you have an icebox and a telephone. There are two European and two US power outlets. There is also a full-length mirror just by the door, so you can check yourself before you head out.The bathrooms are small but well laid out. They feel bigger than they look. Again, there is plenty of storage in here to. You can hide away all your bits and bobs. The shower is really big with plenty of room to move about in. We love the glass shower doors as they don't stick to you like a curtain.  You also receive body wash and conditioning shampoo in your room, although we prefer to bring our own.

Studio Cabins

Norwegian Getaway Studio StateroomThe studio cabins are for solo travellers. They are small but they are really well designed for maximum use of space. All the solo cabins are interior cabins but do have a view into the hallway.  There is lots of storage around the room with a wardrobe. The room has 4 US power sockets, 2 European power sockets and a shaver outlet. There is a large LCD tv along with another US plug and another European plug. The shower, once again with glass doors, is really spacious and the toilet is located in a cubical. The Studio Lounge is a really cool space and is exclusive to guests staying in studio cabins. It's a great space to relax and meet other solo travellers. The lounge is split over two floors.  In here there is a bar, coffee and tea making facilities and a snack counter.

Mini-Suite Balcony Cabin

Norwegian Getaway Mini-Suite Balcony StateroomThe mini-suite balcony cabins are larger than standard balcony cabins.  We are not sure why they are called mini-suites though as they do represent a balcony cabin on any other liner. These rooms sleep unto four with the couch doubling up as an extra bed. There is plenty of storage around the room. We found the wardrobe big enough for two of us on a 9-night cruise. The balcony is a little bit smaller than you would find on other cruise lines but we still thought it was big enough for us to enjoy. The mini-suite includes a  large vanity area which houses a mini-bar, hairdryer, telephone and ice bucket. Unlike a standard cabin, the mini-suite also features coffee making facilities. The cabin has 2 US power outlets and 2 European power outlets. The TV system onboard is really easy to use. Here you can view your planner, a break down of your account and the map. There isn't a large selection of channels but there are pay-per-view movies available. The bathroom is a big plus for the mini-suite cabins. It is much larger than a standard bathroom and this is what really set it apart from a standard cabin. The bathroom features a double sink and a large double shower. The shower has lots of little nozzles giving you a full-on spa experience and a large rainfall showerhead.Overall we enjoyed the mini-suite cabin onboard the Norwegian Getaway. We loved how it spacious and we loved the oversized bathroom. If you enjoyed this video please Like and Subscribe to us on YouTube.
