The Maderia Story Centre is open every day (except on Christmas Day) from 09:00 to 19:00 hrs. It is located in the heart of the city, at Rua D. Carlos I Nº27-29, 9060-051 Funchal, second floor. Just an easy 30-minute walk from the cruise port. Entry costs 5 Euros for adults and 3 Euros for children.

The cable car station located at Av. do Mar e das Comunidades Madeirenses, 9060-190 Funchal. It's only a quick 6 minute drive or an enjoyable half-hour walk from the cruise port. Jump the queue and purchase your tickets online in advance. Prices start from 12,50 Euros for adults and 6 Euros for children.

This unique experience takes you down the steep mountain paths of Monte with no brakes or rails in sight - giving you a thrilling sense of freedom as you race through breathtaking scenery. The friendly "carreiros" (drivers) have been doing this run since 1830, so book a seat today and join a ride unlike any other!

The toboggan rides operate Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm and expect long lines when multiple cruises are docked.

The starting point is a short walk from the top station of the cable car and is clearly sign posted. (Caminho do Monte nº4 9050-084 Monte Funchal, Madeira). The arrival point is (Caminho do Monte nº82/84, 9050-288 Livramento, Funchal, Madeira). A few taxis were waiting at the arrival station.

A single ride costs 25 Euros for 1 person, 30 Euros for two people and 45 Euros for three people. Children under 5 are free. It is necessary to purchase tickets only at the ticket booth prior to boarding - cash payments are accepted as well.
