Princess Cruises Enchanted Princess Tour and Review
We’ve just returned from a 7 night Scandinavian cruise onboard Princess Cruises Enchanted Princess. We also took Ben’s mum along on her very first cruise!
Click below to take a look at a full ship tour of Enchanted Princess. We walk through each deck showing you all of the public areas and outdoor areas including restaurants, bars, and pool areas. We also take a look at several different cabins onboard including a suite, oceanview cabin, mini-suite cabin, inside cabin, and an accessible cabin.
We had such a fantastic cruise, the weather was amazing - especially considering Scandinavia weather can be very unpredictable! The food and crew were some of the best we have experienced on a Princess Cruise.
Enchanted Princess Cruise Ship Review
The ship itself is very similar to Sky Princess with a few changes and additions. Most notably is the return of Princess Cruises favorite Crooners piano bar. We are so glad to see this bar has returned!
Some of the bars have changed position within the Piazza area and a brand new eatery has been added to the bottom level of the Piazza. The Salty Dog Gastro pub serves up posh pub food for an extra charge. Unfortunately, we did not get to try this venue as it was closed due to operational reasons during our cruise. We had heard that some of the cooking team were isolated with COVID-19.
Princess ships are always very beautiful and Enchanted Princess was no exception. The Piazza at the center of the ship is stunning. It’s the heart of the ship surrounded by bars, restaurants, and shops. It’s a great place to grab a drink and just people-watch.
There’s so much space onboard, we still can’t believe this is the exact same type of ship as P&O Cruises Britannia, it feels so much different. Unlike Britannia which felt quite dark and lacked space in several venues, Enchanted Princess has so many different places to relax and enjoy the ship. There are plenty of shopping opportunities onboard too, from souvenirs, duty-free goods, clothing, makeup, and perfumes.
We really enjoyed the Princess Live lounge, we enjoyed the trivia and game shows here and even tried Bingo for the very first time on a cruise ship - it was addictive!
The pool areas were great too, with two large pools and hot tubs in the main pool area and plenty of loungers and relaxing spaces. The retreat pool area is adult-only and is a great place to relax. For an extra cost, you can visit the Sanctuary with private cabanas and sunloungers to rent.
There’s also an infinity pool at the back of the ship with some fantastic views and one of our favourite spots for a sundowner cocktail - the wake view bar.
Food
One thing we always enjoy on a Princess Cruise is the fantastic food. We are really happy to report that it was the same on Enchanted Princess.
We ate at a mixture of complimentary dining venues and extra-charge specialty restaurants. The food was exceptional everywhere we ate. The complimentary main dining room food was so good that we chose to eat there over other specialty restaurants. The four-course menu changes each evening - Ben’s mum was so shocked at how good the food and service were! She had never experienced the amazing service seen on a cruise before.
The buffet was impressive too, it’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a huge selection of food. We saw Vegan, Vegetarian, and Gluten-Free stations too. The food was always hot and fresh - Princess added lids to lots of the buffet food to stop it from drying out and becoming stale, and it worked very well.
The international cafe is open 24 hours with snacks, sandwiches, and more on offer. It’s a great spot for when you fancy a quick bite - especially late at night to absorb some of the alcohol…hic!
Gigi’s Pizza is a sit-down pizzeria offering freshly made pizzas, pasta, and other Italian favorites. It’s a complimentary venue that we enjoyed eating at several times on our cruise. The pizzas are some of the best that we have tasted at sea.

Medallion Class Technology
Unfortunately, on this cruise, the Medallion Class app and technology didn’t work very well. The phone app would often crash or not load at all.
The food and drink ordering part of the app did work most of the time, it’s a fantastic feature that enables you to order food or drink to anywhere on the ship!
The wifi was spotty at best too, sometimes it would work perfectly but at other times would not work at all. Princess Cruises is aware of the problems and working hard on fixes.
Entertainment
The entertainment onboard Enchanted Princess is excellent. There are several broadway type shows including the incredible Rock Opera. This cruise was a comedy-themed cruise with several famous comedians appearing on stage including Rory Bremner, Lucy Porter, and The Comedy Store Performers. Well, we were in for a huge treat - the comedy performances were all fantastic - so funny and enjoyable. There are live musical performances all around the ship including a full band in the Vista Lounge each evening. There’s trivia, game shows, karaoke and a full casino to enjoy.
It would be hard to be bored on a ship like this, there’s always something going on!
Cabin
The cabins especially were very bright and comfortable. The Princess Luxury Dream beds are like giant marshmallows - some of the most comfortable we’ve slept in!
We had a Mini-Suite balcony cabin which is slightly longer than a regular balcony cabin. It comes with a full-size sofa and seating area with an extra television. The bathrooms are also slightly larger and include a bathtub. There is absolutely nothing to complain about when it comes to the cabins, there’s plenty of hanging space and storage in each cabin.
We had such a fantastic cruise on Enchanted Princess, we would not hesitate to recommend this ship! It’s great for those who like to relax in beautiful surroundings, who appreciate and enjoy good food and drink, and enjoy solid entertainment.
We were invited onboard this cruise by Princess Cruises but they have absolutely no control over our content and we have not been paid for this review.
