Today marks 100 days to the MSC Bellissima naming ceremony which will take place on the 2nd March 2019 in Southampton. To celebrate MSC have made announce new details about what new and exclusive experiences will be onboard.

Onboard features announced include a brand new restaurant concept, new family and children’s areas and a innovative new voice activated assistant.

MSC Bellissima, Sports Bar

MSC Bellissima is the is the second of the Meraviglia class. She will celebrate her launch with three full days of celebrations in  Southampton and will be the will be the biggest ship to be named in the city.

MSC Bellissima will certainly live up to her name meaning “most beautiful” by offering guests a beautiful and memorable cruise experience.

New Tapas Restaurant

Located on deck 6 on the Promenade, HOLA! Tapas Bar will be a brand new restaurant concept by Michelin starred chef Ramón Freixa.

The restaurant will be designed a social dining experience where guests can enjoy shared plates and a wonderful celebration of the Mediterranean way of life. The tapas bar is set to give guests a true taste of Spain in a warm open space with both communal and individual seating.

New French Bistro

A new French speciality restaurant L’Atelier Bistrot will be among the 12 international dining venues available onboard.

The restaurant first debuted on the MSC Seaside and offers snacks from cheese and charcuterie to escargots and a full menu of classic French cuisine.

The ship will also feature acclaimed pastry chef Jean-Philippe Maury’s Chocolaterie and Chocolate Bar currently on the Meravigilia.

Two new and exclusive Cirque du Soleil shows

MSC Bellissima will feature two brand new Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows, designed exclusively for MSC Cruises. The show’s concept will be revealed in the coming months.

Just like her sister ship MSC Meraviglia, Bellissima will include a full-size bowling alley, F1 simulator and XD cinema. Plus, six brand new West-end style theatre shows in the 985 seater theatre every evening.

New Children’s Programme

Bellissima will continue to offer actives and facilities designed in partnership with LEGO® and Chicco. New features include a 700m² children’s play area will a brand-new School of Magic programme and weekly Magic Talent Show.

The aqua park will have a new Grand Canyon theme and feature three exhilarating water slides.

A Voice Activated Digital Assistant – Zoe

MSC Bellissima will feature the industries first voice-activated digital assistant named Zoe. Zoe will speak seven languages as is designed to answer the most commonly asked questions in the comfort of their cabin.

In addition, MSC Bellissima will be fitted with a large number of environmental features and innovative technology to reduce her environmental footprint.

She will be equipped with, amongst others: an exhaust gas cleaning system for cleaner emissions; an advanced wastewater treatment system; smart heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems to recover heat from machinery spaces; and LED lighting and smart devices to significantly save energy.

MSC Bellissima will spend her inaugural season in the Mediterranean offering 7-night cruises to some of the region’s most popular ports before moving to the Emirates for Winter 2019/2020.
