SeaDream Yacht Club: The Ultimate Guide

Have you ever dreamed of sailing on a luxurious yacht, enjoying gourmet food and top-notch service? If so, SeaDream Yacht Club might be the perfect cruise line for you. Here's what you need to know before you set sail with SeaDream.

We recently had an incredible experience sailing the Caribbean aboard Seadream! The stunning blue water and spectacular sunny views were simply breathtaking. Check out what we got to experience in our video below – you don't want to miss it!

The Ships

SeaDream Yacht Club operates two identical ships, the SeaDream I and the SeaDream II. Both vessels provide a luxurious, intimate experience with fewer than 56 cabins onboard. The ships are designed to be incredibly spacious - they feature large public spaces and expansive outdoor decks with plenty of room for lounging on deck chairs or at the bar.

These ships, built in 1984, previously sailed with Cunard and Seabourne. Despite their age, the vessels remain in remarkable condition thanks to an innovative $10 million upgrade initiative that ensures they are always up-to-date with modern conveniences.

The renovation included state-of-the-art Starlink Wi-Fi, luxurious Seóra® Balinese Dream Beds and hammocks on the outside decks. To top it all off there are two new Jacuzzis with 360-degree views plus outdoor rain showers for cooling down after a day of soaking up the sun!

What cabins are available on SeaDream?

SeaDream offers three cabin categories, including Yacht Club Stateroom with picture window, Yacht Club Stateroom with porthole window, and Suites. Each cabin is spacious and well-appointed, with high-end amenities like Egyptian cotton linens, L'Occitane bath products, and new 55-inch LED TVs. Most staterooms offer a choice of 2 twin beds or 1 queen bed.

Your cabin comes fully stocked with a mini-bar, a complimentary bottle of champagne on boarding day, and unique gifts each night. Our favourite present is the customized soft pyjamas that are sure to make you feel right at home!

Recently, the ships underwent an extensive transformation of their staterooms. Every inch was renovated, from bare steel to new furniture and soft furnishings with a more efficient storage design to provide increased comfort and usability of space.

The Destinations

Both SeaDream ships spend the summertime in the Mediterranean and the wintertime in the Caribbean. The small size of these yachts allows adventurers to dock at small ports not normally accessible for cruise ship passengers, making your trip one-of-a-kind!

In addition, transatlantic cruises are available which are a more unique way of experiencing the ship and getting to know your fellow passengers.

Are you curious about what it's like to take a transatlantic cruise on a luxurious yacht? Our video below reveals the exciting experience we had sailing from Europe to the Caribbean.

What is the dress code on SeaDream?

SeaDream has a casual dress code, which means you can pack comfortable clothing such as shorts, t-shirts, and jeans. However, nights onboard SeaDream are slightly more formal with dinner attire being “elegant casual” attire. This means men should wear a collared shirt or polo with trousers or khakis, while women can opt for a dress or skirt and blouse. On warmer evenings, when dining is outside, men can opt for smart shorts.

SeaDream Experience

Who is SeaDream recommended for?

SeaDream is ideal for couples and small groups who are looking for an intimate cruise experience, pampering service, and all-inclusive pricing. The primary passengers onboard are from North America and Europe and are, on average, 40 to 60 years old. Unfortunately, SeaDream does not provide any services or amenities specifically for children. Despite young guests being welcome onboard, we would advise against bringing families aboard.

What is the price of a SeaDream cruise?

The cost of a SeaDream Yacht Club cruise varies depending on the particular voyage and the type of cabin chosen. A 7-night cruise with SeaDream begins at £3,000 / $3,500 per person and approximately £6,500/$8,000 for a suite. The choice is yours: You can book directly or through your favourite travel agent!

In conclusion, sailing with SeaDream Yacht Club promises an unforgettable experience full of luxury, delicious food, unique destinations, and plenty of activities to keep you entertained. Whether you're looking for an intimate voyage or a more adventurous trip around the world - SeaDream has something for everyone.
