Awards for Norwegian Bliss at the British Cruise Awards

Norwegian Cruise Line this week are celebrating again after winning two awards at The British Cruise Awards.

The cruise line won ‘Best New Ship’ and ‘Best for Innovation’ for Norwegian Bliss.

The British Cruise Awards took place at the House of Lords on 3 September. The awards where voted for by Cruise International readers.

More accolades for Norwegian Bliss

Its the second accolade for the Norwegian Bliss this year. With the cruise line named as one of the “2018 Diageo Global Best Bartenders” and a semi-finalist for “2018 Diageo World Class Bartender of the Year.”.

Norwegian Bliss launched in April 2018. The ship is designed to sail Alaska in the summer and the Caribbean in the winter.

The ship includes many innovations including the largest two-storey race track at sea and a 180-degree observation lounge. Plus, the original Musical Havana and the Broadway musical Jersey Boys.

Environmental innovations include Norwegian’s Sail and Sustain program. Plus, the company announced a commitment to eliminate plastic straws across its fleet and private islands.

In October 2019, Norwegian Cruise Line will launch its newest ship, Norwegian Encore. Norwegian Encore will sail the Eastern Caribbean in autumn 2019.

The line also announced a complete bow-to-stern transformation of three of its ships as part of the company’s Norwegian Edge programme.
